Shopping and fine dining under one roof? Head to the top floor of the engelhorn Mode im Quadrat department store for precisely that. A team headed up by Dominik Paul cooks modern and creative cuisine. The dishes bowl over diners with flavours that range from bold and robust to low-key, subtle and highly elegant. Made using excellent ingredients, everything is nicely pared down and wonderfully balanced. Clever wine pairings β that accompany, for example, the wagyu, sepia, sake, salmon, oyster, kohlrabi or beef, mushroom, bone marrow β also make an impression with a few surprises. In the evening, there is the six-course set menu, Urban Nature, and the four-course set menu, Chef's Choice. On Saturday lunchtime, the restaurant serves a three-course menu β this option is also available on Wednesday evenings. The sleek, contemporary interior with a Nordic feel is attractive, and there is an open kitchen. The highlight, of course, is the roof terrace with a view of the city! N.B. The restaurant also has its own entrance.
