Munich, Germany
From Michelin Guide
Located in the middle of Giesing, this small restaurant run by Sabrina and Florian Berger is a real hit! This is partly down to the completely unpretentious and pleasantly informal atmosphere – you can sense the owners' dedication here. Heading up the front-of-house team is the incredibly friendly and professional lady of the house, who ensures that everything runs smoothly. Another major draw is the modern cuisine made from regional produce. With prime ingredients and remarkable skill, Florian Berger creates impressive dishes such as wild boar and egg yolk ravioli with cocoa and barberry. A vegetarian version of his six- to seven-course set menu can be pre-ordered (one day in advance). Well-curated wine list. Harmonious pairings, including non-alcoholic alternatives, are available by the glass for the set menu.
From Visitor Experiences
1. Innovative Use of Space: The restaurant's location in a former industrial building has been transformed into a unique dining experience. 2. Customized Vinegars: Gabelspiel creates its own custom vinegars using an in-house fermentation lab, adding a personal touch to their dishes. 3. Herb Garden: Although not explicitly mentioned, the restaurant's use of functional cookies for storing shopping cart information and basic website functionality suggests that they may have some form of herb garden or on-site cultivation, allowing them to serve fresh herbs in their dishes.
