Antica Osteria Cera
Lughetto, Italy

The Experience
From Michelin Guide
One of Italy’s most famous addresses for fish and seafood, this restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring classic house favourites alongside a growing list of more modern options. The atmosphere here is elegant, modern and minimalist – far from the idea of a traditional osteria, despite the name. Although particularly renowned for its raw fish and seafood options and dishes cooked over the charcoal grill, the restaurant also serves traditional regional specialities such as “cassopipa” and “broetto”, as well as classic Italian favourites such as warm steamed fish salad and fritto misto (mixed fried fish). Don’t miss the selection of oysters, which includes the recommended Po Delta Perla Rosa oyster, which is both fleshy and full of unexpected flavour. There’s a dedicated menu for vegetarians (“Solo Verde”), while the impressive wine list includes a good selection of white wines.

Signature Ingredients
- Oysters: Central to Antica Osteria Cera's seafood-forward cuisine; oysters are described by critics and guides as the heart of the restaurant, sourced from renowned areas in the Atlantic and Northern Europe and served very fresh with refined sauces and condiments to highlight their briny sweetness and delicate texture. This ingredient embodies the restaurant's respect for the sea and its raw materials and anchors many of their shellfish and raw preparations.
- Crudo seafood and shellfish: The antipasti and seafood-centric menu emphasize pristine seafood and shellfish prepared in crudo and minimal-cook methods. The restaurant sources high-quality seafood daily from nearby waters (notably Chioggia and the Conero Riviera) to showcase natural flavors with simple, elegant techniques, reflecting the philosophy of water, earth, fire, and air in their cooking.
